This year Julesburg High School is welcoming a new Online Facilitator to the staff. Mrs. Alissa Renquist and her family moved to Julesburg this past summer to join the Julesburg School district. She is excited to teach and to get to know the kids but is admittedly a little nervous. It was difficult juggling moving to a new town and school while also dealing with COVID-19 as it made it difficult to meet new people before the start of the school year. Mrs. Renquist is hopeful that life will be back to normal by the end of the school year.
In addition to being the Online Facilitator, Mrs. Renquist is the head volleyball coach and is very excited to be coaching with Coach Redfern. Her favorite thing about being a coach is meeting new kids and learning their personalities. Mrs. Renquist’s ultimate goal is to take the team to state and win!
Mrs. Renquist grew up and lived in Walsh, Colorado until moving to Julesburg. She attended Dodge City Community College in Dodge City. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and creating new memories. Mrs. Renquist also loves watching sports. She is very nervous about being a teacher because that is a job she has never done but is excited to get to know everyone in the community.
