Accounting is the backbone of every business. Fabian, Jayce, Angel and Lexi are exploring how to help a business be financially successful, learning the basics of business finance and accounting, and developing an understanding of the importance of business accounting.


More 100’s Day activities in kindergarten 😊





Kindergarten celebrated the 100th Day of school by making Fruit Loop necklaces. We also came up with 100 rhyming words and read 100 sight words. What a fun day! 🎉

7th graders are finalizing their interview with a pharaoh project. Students are learning about Ancient Egypt!



Students at JHS participate in Random Acts of Kindness week! Initiated by the sophomores, these seniors take part in placing uplifting notes on the girl’s bathroom mirror. Students also participated in the RAK board, Appreciation Station, sending a positive text message to three people, sending a positive email to three people, posting an inspirational sticky note in their classroom, leaving a positive note on their desk for the next student, making gratitude lists, and writing thank you notes to teachers for what they have done for them. Though this is National Random Acts of Kindness week the student have asked for an extension of this program!!!

Freshman computer students are designing their Dream Rooms! They are researching the dimensions of various furniture pieces then sketch out the layout on graph paper to scale. Once their initial design is complete they finalize the design in a 3D design program called TinkerCad.

5th Graders celebrated their 1000th day of school! We used toothpicks and marshmallows to build towers!

Malachi working on puppets he is creating for a script he wrote for his Drama class. He is making the puppets from scratch using fabric, foam, and other various materials. Malachi creates and develops the characters and them makes the puppets to fit their persona.

Juniors, Rafe Buettenback and Ryker Craven, in Life Skills teach their fellow classmates the truth about steroids, inhalants, cocaine, and methamphetamines. This is chapter 5 in their coursework around “The Six Most Important Decisions You’ll Ever Make,” by Sean Covey.

Attention all Cougar fans:
There has been a time change for the two varsity games scheduled for tomorrow in Julesburg. The girl's game with Dayspring Christian will begin at noon with the boys to follow. Go Cougars!!!


The Random Acts of Kindness "Appreciation Station" is in full swing. Students drew a fellow student's name, wrote an uplifting note on a rain drop to fill that student's bucket with compliments!! Today the students read their personal, uplifting rain drop!! Thank you Sophomores for putting this act of kindness into play.



Family and Consumer Science students are working with chocolate to make Oreo Balls.


Inspired by artist Victoria Villasana, students in 8th grade art are starting their first stitches on their embroidery portraits. They first selected a photo of an inspirational person. The photo was printed in black and white and will be stitched with embroidery thread to add color and interesting shapes and patterns to the photo.




Seventh grade choir works to polish their show choir set list for the Vocal Extravaganza on Feb. 22nd.
