On Wednesday, November 11th at 2 pm, please join the students and staff of Julesburg School District on Cedar Street for a reverse parade honoring our local Veterans.
Don Kizer joined the Air Force with a friend after graduating high school in 1952. He enjoyed the Air Force so much that he stayed in it for 21 years. He was a missile engineer technician that helped build missiles. This was important because it was during the time of the Cold War. His favorite was the Thor Missile. He also helped launch several satellites. He served his time in the Air Force in several different places including, California, New York, Illinois, France, Colorado Springs, Germany, Hawaii, and Johnson Island. While in the Air Force, he earned the Meritory of Service Award. Mr. Kizer, we thank you for your service!
