
K-5th families (those who signed up for the LEGO Minecraft Day on March 19th), the event has been cancelled. The Play Well Staff will be emailing families informing them of this as well as refunding them their full registration amount. The Julesburg Ag/FFA students visited the Kinnie and Lechman farms to learn about the operation of traditional family farms and operate farm equipment. Special thanks goes out to Kelly and Martha Kinnie and Josh Lechman!

Today the 8th grade art students are working on defining and drawing negative space as a way to hone their drawing skills!

Thank you to all parents who joined us for our Coffee Talk this morning about the Benefits of Play! It’s great to have a moment to talk about ways to engage our kids in unstructured play. The next Coffee Talk will be on April 3. Jamie Soucie from the Colorado School Safety Resource Center will be our guest speaker. She will be speaking about online safety and laws that concern our kids. Parents of students of all ages are welcome to attend!!

Jamie Soucie of the Colorado School Safety Resource Center presented to the JHS students about the importance of Internet Safety. The students were equipped with a multitude of resources, educational videos and materials following the presentation


6th grade is doing some team building skills for Second Step with Mrs. Dickey!



5th graders are hatching chickens ! Thank you to the Reichman’s for bringing in eggs and letting us watch the process of them hatching. The kids have really enjoyed the experience. As of today we have 14 babies




Second graders are learning about standard and nonstandard units of measurement by measuring the classroom head to foot and discussing which way is more accurate.



We were proud to welcome the mayor of Julesburg, Mr. Hoschouer, to second grade to teach us his duties and the duties of the town. We learned what protocols are taken when issues arrive. This matched up well with both our social studies standards and our main story in reading. Thank you again Mr. Mayor for coming to our class and all you do for our town.



Indoor running club kept our runners active on a cold day 😊





Kindergarten continues to review teen numbers by playing a game callled “On and Off the Board.”





Second grade made elephant toothpaste to show changes that happen quickly over time in our Earth Science unit.
