🌟 This week in our 6th-grade math class, we brought ratios to life with some hands-on activities! Students explored the concept of ratios by measuring out lemonade powder and water to create the perfect lemonade. They discovered how changing just a little bit of the mix or water makes a big difference in flavor. 🍋🥤 Then, we dove into mixing colors 🎨, discovering how even small changes in ratios could make a big difference in the shades we created. It was an awesome way to see math in action, and the creativity was inspiring! Hands-on learning at its best, and a fun way to make math more meaningful!

In preschool, activities like riding trikes and scooters are more than just fun—they’re essential for developing gross motor skills! Gross motor skills involve large muscle groups and are the foundation for balance, coordination, and physical strength. Riding trikes and scooters helps children practice pushing, steering, and balancing, all while building core strength and coordination.

Day 4 of the National FFA Convention was packed with unforgettable experiences! Students kicked off the day exploring the expo hall, meeting college recruiters and connecting with leaders from top ag businesses. Lunch took us to the Horseshoe Indianapolis racetrack, where we watched live horse racing, chatted with horse owners, and even posed with some winning horses! We were thrilled to meet Otto Thorwarth, the actor who played the jockey in Secretariat. We closed out the day with the National Convention Talent Show Semi-Finals and an inspiring 3rd general session. #FFANationals #AgOpportunities #FFAExpo

Day 3 of the FFA National Convention started off in Louisville, KY with a visit to the iconic Louisville Slugger bat factory! We learned how they select the wood, craft the bats, and get them game-ready for the field. After that, we hit the road to Indianapolis, checked in at the Convention, and attended the opening session of the 97th National FFA Convention. The night ended on a high note with an awesome concert by Nate Smith and Megan Moroney! #FFANationals #LouisvilleSlugger #AgInAction #NateSmith #MeganMoroney

“Day 2 of the FFA National Convention was all about covering miles! We’ve now been through 7 states in just 2 days. The highlight? A behind-the-scenes tour of Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs! We got to walk on the field, explore the locker room, and even check out the press box and suites. “Day 1 of the FFA National Convention was a success! We kicked things off with an incredible stop at Blackshirt Feeders in Haigler, NE. This state-of-the-art facility is set to house 150,000 head of cattle when completed in 2026! The feedmill and handling systems are among the best in the world, truly impressive. The students learned about the benefits of growing cattle on concrete. We wrapped up the day traveling across Kansas, making new friends from the other 9 FFA chapters on this journey with us. Looking forward to what Day 2 has in store! #FFANationals #AgProud #FutureOfAg”
