Our second-grade classroom came together to create a festive community by decorating our tree. Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

It was a day to remember with the residents at the Assisted Living Center and the Third Grade class, a perfect example of how the simplest acts of togetherness can make the season brighter for everyone involved.
This holiday season, these handcrafted Santa ornaments will not only adorn Christmas trees but also serve as a reminder of the power of community, connection, and the true spirit of giving.
Thank you to The Assisted Living Center for having us, we had so much fun creating and visiting with you today. Also thank you to Mrs. Hansen and Ms. Ashley for your assistance with this fun project.

In JH Ag Exploration and Animal Science, we’ve been diving into animal digestion and nutrition!
Each student had the chance to “feed their cow” using a zip-lock bag filled with their chosen feed. To highlight the importance of water—the most vital nutrient—we added it to their feed, along with yeast to represent the microorganisms in a ruminant’s stomach.
The real excitement? Watching to see if their cow bloated! Some students overfed their cow, leading to bloating, while others maintained healthy gas levels. A fun, hands-on way to learn about the delicate balance of animal nutrition!

Junior High Dance!

Today's Lion PRIDE Call of the Day goes to Piper Buettenback for working so diligently in her College English course. Even after struggling to access research databases in class last week, Piper worked hard over Thanksgiving break to compile research, cite it, and create a thorough annotated bibliography. College classes can be tough, and often so is mastering technology, but Piper tackled both on her own over the holiday break in order to stay on top of her collegiate course work!

More of our amazing balloons the kids created for our Friday parade!

Balloons Over Broadway took over the Julesburg School halls. 5th grade students enjoyed watching a variety of videos from the Macy's Parade over the years and how it all began. Students took the time to come up with their own creations and strolled the hallways for all to enjoy!

This week in preschool, we had a blast celebrating Thanksgiving! We whipped up some delicious turkey donuts for our snack, crafted fun balloons for our "Balloons Over Broadway" parade, and wrapped up our festivities with a delightful Charlie Brown-style feast. A big thank you to our wonderful elementary principal, Mrs. Palic, for sharing her amazing storytelling talent with us!

Have a safe Thanksgiving Break!

What an amazing day! Today, our third graders took on the theme "Balloons Over Broadway," becoming puppeteers and creating their very own balloon characters! In Kindergarten, we are enhancing our understanding of non-standard measurement by engaging students in a hands-on activity: measuring the distance across the classroom using our bodies. This approach not only fosters a love for learning but also encourages movement and collaboration among young learners.
