30 of our FFA Chapter attended the District XVI Leadership Conference in Sterling, and what a fantastic day it was! This conference was organized entirely by our District XVI Officer team, with our very own Claudia Rhoades and Cooper Edson leading the way as District Secretary and Executive Committee member. The group was inspired by a powerful keynote from Mrs. Jamie Adams on making choices that shape our lives – such an impactful message! Freshmen and sophomores took part in engaging workshops led by the District Officers and FFA Alumni, Emma Daly, focusing on teamwork and communication skills. Meanwhile, juniors and seniors went on industry tours at H&M Feeders and Nichols Tillage, where they explored business operations and career opportunities in agriculture.
Our third graders have been diving into The Wild Robot these past few weeks! 📖✨ As part of our Family Literacy Night, students have replicated the book cover to showcase outside our classroom. We’re eager to finish the book and watch the movie together
Exciting news from our third-grade classroom! Students have been diligently working on multiplication facts 1-5 and 10, and now they're diving into facts 6-9! We introduced a fun hands-on technique to help them master these new facts.

JHS Vocal Choir students attended the annual League Choir Festival in Akron yesterday. The students were split into Jr High and High School groups and worked with clinicians on the multiple pieces of music they have worked on in class the last few weeks. At the end of the day they put on a concert which was the perfect ending to all of their hard work! Students commented that they enjoyed performing in front of people they didn't know and singing with a larger group of people then they are used to.

Dannika Wilson is to be recognized today for her unselfish commitment in volunteering to help another student in her class succeed academically. When the students were offered some additional time to work on their own assignments, she slid her chair to that of another student's desk and began helping them get caught up in the class. She continued to guide this student and kept them on track in order to complete some missing assignments.

Congratulations to JHS Senior Claudia Rhoades for receiving a $500 scholarship to the College of Agriculture Sciences and Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for completing the Nebraska Youth Beef Leadership Symposium.

Our 8th grade Ag students have been hard at work in the shop, creating their very own candy dispensers! This project not only lets them get hands-on with woodwork but also gives them the chance to safely use a few power tools to bring their ideas to life. Proud of their creativity and growing skills!
What an honor to celebrate my dad today as a Veteran and all those that have served in the military. This ceremony is beyond important to teach children about veterans and all they have sacrificed for our country.
My dad brought his Air Force jackets for the students to try on and explained what the stripes and bars stand for, and discuss his service.
My mom also shared what her experience was like being a spouse of someone in the military and the difficulty of losing friends to war.
They always bring poppies to share with the students and we listen to the song about Flanders Field. Thank you veterans! 🇺🇸we will never forget!

The 4th grade Social Studies class took the time to reflect on one of their favorite part of their last module that they enjoyed learning about the most. Students were also very proud of how well they comprehended the content and celebrated acing the Unit Assessment. Washington's crossing of the Delaware. Why was this moment in history so important? Washington’s crossing of the Delaware was a daring act that played a crucial role in sustaining the Revolutionary War effort at a time when it was at risk of collapse. It showcased his leadership and set the stage for the resilience that would eventually lead to American Independence.
2024 JHS Robotics Competition. The team came up 15 points short of the finals. It was such a good experience for our very young team. We had 13 kids from Julesburg on the this year's robotics team. Great job everyone! 💜💛🦁🤖
